Special Events are offered on a periodic basis.  A sign up sheet will be posted in the barn near the tack room as special events become available.

Musical Ride
Join in for a couple of hours of fun and frivolity in our Musical Ride.  Open to all riders who can, walk, trot and canter.  Up to 8 riders perform synchronized movements to music in the walk and trot.  It's a great way to hone your riding skills.

Barn Horse Shows
Open to all students of Harrison School of Horsemanship our barn shows offer a low key and fun way to try out competition.  Classes offer something for everyone including a walk-trot division for the beginner/novice level riders, walk, trot and canter classes for the more experienced riders and games such as musical poles, ride a buck and barrel racing.  Jumping is also offered with "Ride a Line" classes for our beginner/novice riders and courses for our more experienced riders..

Open Shows
Students who have achieved an acceptable level of proficiency are able to take the school horses to open shows such as the Arab Club Shows at the Saanich Fair Grounds and the Appaloosa Club Shows at the Elk/Beaver Lake Ring.  Students who participate in Open Shows must have taken the Show Grooming Short Course.

Trail Rides with the Riding and Miniature Horses
Those students who have been taking driving lessons have the opportunity to take the minis out on the trails with one of our instructors.  Sorry, we do not offer trail rides to the general public.
