Immerse your child in a week long, fun
filled time with horses. Two instructors and small
class sizes ensure each participant receives plenty of
individual attention. Additionally, beginners are
paired with an experienced assistant while working with
the horses, so are never left unsupervised. Our
well trained, patient horses make learning to ride a
pleasurable and safe experience. Activities
include:
♦
A daily one hour riding lesson.
♦ Trail Rides through
the woodland trails of Horth Hill Park located right next to the
stable property.
♦ Driving our Miniature
Horses, Holly & Fella in the ring and on the trails.
An instructor will be seated in the cart beside new
drivers while they master the basics.
♦ Our popular Horsemanship Level 1 Course content
is included in this camp. Students gain an
understanding as to how horses think and behave and how
to use this knowledge to get the horse to willingly and
co-operatively respond to the handler's requests. Get
more in depth info on our
Horsemanship Level 1 Course.
♦ Stable Management/Horse Care
♦ Friday is a horse show and games
day with ribbons and prizes for all. Friends and
parents are encouraged to attend.
In addition to learning how to ride,
horses have much more to teach and share with us.
They teach us patience, compassion, responsibility,
increased self confidence and self esteem and much more.
"A
Father's Explanation" describes this in more detail.
Riders are required to supply a
riding hard hat and boots and to bring a lunch.
